Laccaria purpureo-badia Reid. Purpurbrauner Lacktrichterling Cap 2–5.5cm across, convex at first sometimes with a broad umbo soon becoming flattened and centrally depressed or wavy at the margin, dark purple-brown when moist drying paler and becoming distinctly scurfy. Stem 30–60 x 3–8mm, light vinaceous at the apex becoming dark purple-brown towards the base, covered in short fibres. Flesh thin, purplish-pink. Taste not distinctive, smell none. Gills pale pinkish at first becoming brownish. Spore print white. Spores ovate to broadly elliptic or subglobose, spiny, 7–10.5 x 6–8m. Habitat in damp peaty ground near birch and alder. Season autumn. Rare. Edibility unknown -avoid. Found In Europe.
